Moo to you.

While everyone at BPS knows they have a cow in the school grounds it is still a shock to an page24a.jpginnocent park-goer to discover the colourful and unique sculpture – Picasso Cow – grazing in the gardens. Its paint-job, by students of Bangalow School, took out the grand prize in the Picasso Cow competition in 2009. At one point the school had it up for sale (unfortunately no takers) and now its feet are firmly set in concrete. Pic by Judy Baker

Biggest Morning Tea

Thanks to everyone for supporting the ‘Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea’ in May. Despite the rain it was a lovely ‘social’ morning. Thanks to the Heritage House ladies for the wonderful food and to all who prepared and donated items for our stall and raffle. Francis Raisch won both first and second prize in the raffle, with Donna Syme page24c.jpgwinning third. Your generosity and participation raised $430 for the Cancer Council and this money can help fund research into the causes of cancer and new and improved treatments. Every cup counts and every dollar makes a difference to those people affected by cancer. Liz Parks
