Mobile Massage Therapist
We all know the beneficial results of treating ourselves to a massage. For example – pain relief from aching muscles and joints, improved circulation, feelings of euphoria, helping to cope with stress and anxiety and relief from migraines.
But should we still view massage as a ‘treat’ when the results can enhance our healthy lives so much? We live in a quick-fix drug culture and we seem happy to line the pockets of pharmaceutical companies. Perhaps we need to start thinking that with regular massage, sickness could be lessened, avoided or even cured. Many of us spend hours sitting either at a computer, or driving, which has such a negative impact on our bodies. Massage is one way we can help reverse that impact and remain in our jobs for longer.
My name is Annette Paysden and I offer a mobile massage service to clients in the Northern Rivers. I practice deep-tissue massage developed from Swedish massage which is a fantastic kneading and flowing style.
To help you feel like you are still having a ‘treat’ my massages are therapeutic, as well as beautifully relaxing, with just the right pressure to suit you.
Go on! Get fit and healthy by making massage a part of your life.

Bangalow Physiotherapy
Well it has been six months since I took ownership of Bangalow Physiotherapy from Libbie Nelson and time has flown! What a lovely town to work in and such a great bunch of experienced physiotherapists to work alongside. We are now four physiotherapists working to assist you in many ways. Libbie Nelson has not retired but is continuing to work at the practice, and so are Clare Connolly and Ryan Huxley, who also have been with Bangalow Physiotherapy for several years.
I, Liz Thomas, have been working in the Byron Shire for three years now (at Bangalow since May last year) and look forward to many more years to come. jim whittle : chiropractor
Jim Whittle’s main chiropractic technique is the Sacro-Occipital Technique which involves gently taking the tension out of the dura – the outer layer of the spinal cord. The dura has very strong attachments to the skull, neck and hips. If these are assisted to correctly align, the body’s balance can be restored. Jim is also a Homeopath and has studied nutrition extensively. His other specialisations include Neuro-Emotional Technique which accesses the emotions via a quick and simple process and gently releases them. Also Neuro-Organisational Technique which reorganizes neurological patterns, and Total Body Modification which brings awareness to the body’s dysfunctional patterns. Jim uses Applied Kinesiology as the diagnostic tool, using muscle testing to integrate all of these techniques. Because of Jim’s wholistic approach, all adjustments are low impact, subtle and amazingly effective.
Jim’s partner Susan Clayton works at the same centre. She is a trained Homeopath and massage therapist who combines Chinese massage therapy with Quantum BioEnergetics, an energetic healing frequency which assists the body to heal itself. This wonderful combination brings a feeling of lightness and ease and allows for the integration of the physical, mental and emotional aspects of one’s being. Susan is currently studying Life Alignment techniques and is offering reduced rate sessions in this modality as part of her training. Bangalow Chiropractic, 4 Granuaille Road, Bangalow.
